Toyota Auris in version I was produced in the years 2006 – 2012. Below we present the specifications of batteries suitable for specific engines.
Basic parameters of batteries suitable for Toyota Auris (2006-2012):

As you can see, in case of Toyota Auris, even the basic parameters of the batteries (battery layout, terminal types and base hold-down) are not identical for all engine versions. For this reason, care must be taken to match the battery to a specific engine.
For the Toyota Auris with a 1.8 Hybrid gasoline engine, we choose batteries with dimensions of 187x127x220 mm or 187x127x227 mm, whose capacity exceeds 32 Ah. The weakest of these is the battery Exide Excell EB356 which capacity is 35 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 240 A. The most powerful battery is Lucas Premium LP054 of a capacity 40Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 360 A. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B0.
For these petrol engines, we recommend batteries with dimensions of 207x175x190 mm and a capacity exceeding 47 Ah. The weakest of these is the battery Exide Excell EB500 which capacity is 50 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 450 A. The most powerful battery is Bosch S5 S50 02 of a capacity 54Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 530 A. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
For these petrol engines, we recommend batteries with dimensions of 242x175x190 mm and a capacity exceeding 59 Ah. The weakest of these is the battery Bosch S4 S40 05 which capacity is 60 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 540 A. The most powerful battery is Lucas Supreme LS027 of a capacity 65Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 640 A. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
Owning a Toyota Auris with a 1.33 Dual-VVTi engine and Start-Stop system means there is a need to use more expensive batteries made with EFB technology. Dimensions of matching batteries differ slightly depending on the manufacturer and are 242x175x190 mm or 243x175x190 mm. The parameters of these batteries are at least 60 Ah of a capacity and 560 A CCA (Cold Cranking Amps). All the batteries in the list above have a base hold-down B13.
The Toyota Auris with a 1.4 D-4D diesel engine should be compatible with batteries of dimensions 242x175x190 mm, with a minimum capacity of 59 Ah. The most basic battery of this set is Bosch S4 S40 05 of a capacity 60Ah and 540A Cold Cranking Amps, the battery with the biggest capacity is Lucas Supreme LS027 of a capacity 65 Ah, having 640A Cold Cranking Amps. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
These diesel engines should work with batteries of dimensions 276x175x190 mm or 278x175x190 mm, which capacity is minimum 71 Ah. The most basic battery of this set is Bosch S4 S40 08 of a capacity 74Ah and 680A Cold Cranking Amps, the battery with the biggest capacity is Lucas Supreme LS096 of a capacity 78 Ah, having 780A Cold Cranking Amps. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13. If you’re still unsure which battery fits your Toyota Auris , or if you want to help others in their selection, please send us a photo of your current battery in the comment section at the bottom of the page. You can also send the picture to contact@whatbattery.co.uk (we will place it in the comments to also help other users). Be sure to specify the car model, year, type, as well as the engine capacity and power. We’ll do our best to assist you!

U can use also normal lead acid battery instead of efb battery if u dont use the start stop system?
No, you can’t. Normal lead acid battery will break very quickly.
Do I have to program or do some obd stuff when I change my 2011 1.6 auris battery
