Ford Focus in version Mk2 was produced in the years 2004 – 2011. The following table presents information about batteries that match each of the engines available on the market.
Basic parameters of batteries suitable for Ford Focus (2004-2011):
For the Ford Focus with a 1.4 gasoline engine, we choose batteries with dimensions of 207x175x175 mm, whose capacity exceeds 41 Ah. The weakest of these is the battery Halfords Essentials HB 063 which capacity is 41 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 360 A. The most powerful battery is Bosch S5 S50 01 of a capacity 52Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 520 A. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
For the 1.6, 1.6 LPG, 1.6 Ti petrol engines and others from the above list, we select batteries measuring 242x175x175 mm with a capacity exceeding 57 Ah. The weakest of these is the battery Exide Excell EB602 which capacity is 60 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 540 A. The most powerful battery is Lucas Supreme LS075 of a capacity 62Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 600 A. All the batteries in the list above have a base hold-down B13.
The above three petrol engines of the Ford Focus, namely 2.5 RS ,2.5 RS 500 and 2.5 ST, will perform best with batteries of at least 68 Ah capacity. We recommend choosing higher-end battery models for cars with a large number of optional extras. The weakest of these is the battery Varta Black Dynamic E9 which capacity is 70 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 640 A. The most powerful battery is Lucas Supreme LS100 of a capacity 74Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 750 A. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
These diesel engines should work with batteries of dimensions 276x175x175 mm or 278x175x175 mm, which capacity is minimum 68 Ah. The most basic battery of this set is Varta Black Dynamic E9 of a capacity 70Ah and 640A Cold Cranking Amps, the battery with the biggest capacity is Lucas Supreme LS100 of a capacity 74 Ah, having 750A Cold Cranking Amps. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
