  1. Hi, I have a Mercedes SL5.5
    2007
It has two batteries, one under the bonnet for the engine and the other larger battery in the boot for the consumables.
What battery do you recommend for the consumables battery? This boot battery is notorious for going flat when parked for a few days and I’m wondering if a deep cycle battery would be a better choice. Many thanks.

    • Hello,
There might be an incorrect battery installed in the trunk of your Mercedes-Benz SL. As you mentioned, according to our information, it should be an AGM battery with a capacity of 70 Ah. Switching from an AGM battery to a lead-acid one may cause such issues. At the same time, it would be advisable to check the current draw with the car closed and turned off to ensure that no device is draining your battery while parked.

Attached, please find examples of batteries installed in other models of Mercedes SL – both batteries are AGM.
      Best regards.
