The above versions of the Mazda 6 are equipped with a Start-Stop system, and in this case, we should use batteries made with EFB technology. Dimensions of matching batteries differ slightly depending on the manufacturer and are 230x173x222 mm, 232x173x225 mm, 242x175x190 mm or 243x175x190 mm. The parameters of these batteries are at least 60 Ah of a capacity and 520 A CCA (Cold Cranking Amps).
The Mazda 6 with a 2.2 D diesel engine should be compatible with batteries of dimensions 306x173x222 mm or 306x173x225 mm, with a minimum capacity of 92 Ah. The most basic battery of this set is Exide Excell EB954 of a capacity 95Ah and 720A Cold Cranking Amps, the battery with the biggest capacity is Varta Blue Dynamic G7 of a capacity 95 Ah, having 830A Cold Cranking Amps.
