Its very strange. EXIDE battery finder & VARTA battery selector states a bigger size for the TOYOTA AYGO 2 (petrol)
e.g EXIDE state EB500, EA530 & EL550 (start/stop)
The size VARTA & EXIDE both state 190 x 175 x 207 for TOYOTA AYGO 2.
(BOSCH selector also comes up with the same size battery)
Hi,
To clarify, I am attaching photos of the batteries installed in two Toyota Aygo 2 (1.0 petrol) vehicles—one from 2018 and the other from 2021. Both vehicles are equipped with Fulmen batteries in the L0 size, which measures 175 x 175 x 190 mm.
This size differs from the 190 x 175 x 207 mm dimensions suggested by the EXIDE, VARTA, and BOSCH selectors. However, the battery tray in these vehicles has plenty of space, so installing a larger battery, as recommended by the selectors, would not pose any issues. That said, the L0-sized battery is perfectly adequate for these cars, providing sufficient capacity and performance for normal use.
