Toyota Yaris in version III is produced from 2011. The following table presents information about batteries that match each of the engines available on the market.
Basic parameters of batteries suitable for Toyota Yaris (2011-):
Layout
Terminal types
Base hold-down
0 – positive on the right side
1
B13
0 – positive on the right side
3
B0
As you can see, in case of Toyota Yaris, even the basic parameters of the batteries (battery layout, terminal types and base hold-down) are not identical for all engine versions. For this reason, care must be taken to match the battery to a specific engine.
The above versions of the Toyota Yaris are equipped with a Start-Stop system, and in this case, we should use batteries made with standardowy technology. Dimensions of matching batteries differ slightly depending on the manufacturer and are 187x127x220 mm or 187x127x227 mm. The parameters of these batteries are at least 35 Ah of a capacity and 240 A CCA (Cold Cranking Amps). All of the above motors have a base hold-down B0.
For these petrol engines, we recommend batteries with dimensions of 207x175x190 mm and a capacity exceeding 47 Ah. The weakest of these is the battery Exide Excell EB500 which capacity is 50 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 450 A. The most powerful battery is Varta Silver Dynamic C30 of a capacity 54Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 530 A. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
The engines of the Toyota Yaris listed above have a Start-Stop system, and in this case, this means that we must use batteries produced in EFB technology. Dimensions of matching batteries differ slightly depending on the manufacturer and are 242x175x190 mm or 243x175x190 mm. The parameters of these batteries are at least 60 Ah of a capacity and 560 A CCA (Cold Cranking Amps). All the batteries in the list above have a base hold-down B13.
These diesel engines should work with batteries of dimensions 242x175x190 mm, which capacity is minimum 59 Ah. The most basic battery of this set is Varta Blue Dynamic D24 of a capacity 60Ah and 540A Cold Cranking Amps, the battery with the biggest capacity is Exide Premium EA640 of a capacity 64 Ah, having 640A Cold Cranking Amps. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
