As you can see, in case of Toyota Yaris, even the basic parameters of the batteries (battery layout, terminal types and base hold-down) are not identical for all engine versions. For this reason, care must be taken to match the battery to a specific engine.
For the Toyota Yaris with a 1.0 16V (Europe version) gasoline engine, we choose batteries with dimensions of 207x175x175 mm, whose capacity exceeds 41 Ah. The weakest of these is the battery Bosch S3 S30 01 which capacity is 41 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 360 A. The most powerful battery is Bosch S5 S50 01 of a capacity 52Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 520 A. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
For the Toyota Yaris with a 1.5 VVT-i TS gasoline engine, we choose batteries with dimensions of 207x175x190 mm, whose capacity exceeds 47 Ah. The weakest of these is the battery Exide Excell EB500 which capacity is 50 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 450 A. The most powerful battery is Varta Silver Dynamic C30 of a capacity 54Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 530 A. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
For the 1.0 16V (Asia version), 1.3, 1.3 16V petrol engines and others from the above list, we select batteries measuring 237x127x225 mm, 237x127x227 mm, 238x129x225 mm or 238x129x227 mm with a capacity exceeding 42 Ah. The weakest of these is the battery Exide Excell EB457 which capacity is 45 Ah and Cold Cranking Amps is 330 A. The most powerful battery is Halfords Standard HCB 057 of a capacity 45Ah and Cold Cranking Amps: 400 A. All the batteries in the list above have a base hold-down B0.
The Toyota Yaris with a 1.4 D-4D (55 kW) diesel engine should be compatible with batteries of dimensions 230x173x222 mm or 232x173x225 mm, with a minimum capacity of 57 Ah. The most basic battery of this set is Exide Excell EB605 of a capacity 60Ah and 390A Cold Cranking Amps, the battery with the biggest capacity is Varta Blue Dynamic D48 of a capacity 60 Ah, having 540A Cold Cranking Amps.
The Toyota Yaris with a 1.4 D-4D (66 kW) diesel engine should be compatible with batteries of dimensions 242x175x190 mm, with a minimum capacity of 59 Ah. The most basic battery of this set is Bosch S4 S40 05 of a capacity 60Ah and 540A Cold Cranking Amps, the battery with the biggest capacity is Lucas Supreme LS027 of a capacity 65 Ah, having 640A Cold Cranking Amps. All of the above motors have a base hold-down B13.
